Two months ago, we covered La Gazzetta dello Sport’s report about Milan’s interest in Brighton defender Igor Julio. That talk hasn’t quite gone away and it seems the player’s situation in England is currently far from settled and Milan remain interested.
Igor joined Brighton from Fiorentina last summer for a fee of €17m plus bonuses and arrived under the tutelage of Roberto De Zerbi, who is now in-charge of Marseille.
If Milan end up losing Malick Thiaw, they would sign another defender even if they land Salzburg’s Stahinja Pavlovic, and Igor is seen as an option, along with Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi.
Brighton’s valuation isn’t mentioned by the report but the information from the outlet two months ago suggested that Igor was only a ‘thought’ for Milan.
Now, he seems to have become more than just a ‘thought’.
