Alexis Sanchez to Juventus is starting to become a real thing in Italy. The media have been pushing the link for months, and it sounds like they’ve convinced themselves.

The Chilean attacker is considered to be just an “alternative” for the Old Lady in case they fail to land Gonzalo Higuaín this summer, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

This love triangle might sound a bit complicated, so let us explain: Juventus have Higuain as their target number one and Alexis Sanchez as number two. Their biggest competition for La Pipita is Arsenal, and in case the Gunners win the race for the Argentine, they would make things easier for the Chilean to leave the club.

That’s a win-win situation for Juve. Arsenal are said to be preparing a very good bid for the Napoli striker, and the offer for Sanchez would be of around €35m.

But these outcomes will have to wait. Before buying, Juventus need to know what will be of Leonardo Bonucci’s and Paul Pogba’s future. If both leave, they would have around €160m to spend, which would change the entire market scenario.

Maybe someone should tell them that Arsenal won’t be waiting for that.
