Juventus have not given up on signing Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri this summer despite the Blues turning down their advances in January.
The Serie A side are keen to add a left-back their squad in the summer transfer window, and chief Fabio Paratici has Emerson’s name ‘circled in red’ according to Calcio Mercato.
They tried to sign the left-back in January but were turned down by Chelsea, who had no intention of selling then or in future.
However, with Marcos Alonso enjoying something of a resurgence under Frank Lampard, Emerson finds himself down the pecking order again, and that could open the door to a deal.
A move from Stamford Bridge is ‘no longer a remote scenario but a real hypothesis’ according to the website and is Juventus’ first-choice in their search for an alternative to Alex Sandro.
Chelsea are as reluctant to sell as they were in January and have ‘no intention’ of selling the 25-year-old on the cheap.
They will demand €25-30m for the left-back, a figure that Paratici ‘intends to lower’ by taking advantage of the fact that Lampard has several options in the position.
The conditions have been set for the summer, though, with an appointment scheduled for both parties to try and find an agreement.
