The agent for Tottenham defender Dávinson Sánchez has confirmed he held talks with Sevilla about a move, but rumours about his future are just that.

Sánchez has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer, with it felt that the club are keen to move the Colombian on.

That has been strengthened by the fact they continue to pursue a deal for Atalanta’s Cristian Romero, while they also saw an effort to sign Jules Koundé fail earlier in the window.

That deal would have seen Sánchez heading the other way, as Tottenham looked to find a way to match the French defender’s €70m release clause.

Ultimately a move never happened, and Sánchez remains at Tottenham, although whether that will be the case at the end of the window remains to be seen.

It seems, though, that a move is not imminent as his agent insists any transfer rumours are just talk at this moment in time.

“They are just rumours,” he told Caracol Radio’s El Vbar, relayed by Marca Colombia.

“Yes, I have spoken to the people of Sevilla, but at the moment, they have a full squad.

“If a transfer happens on their part, those rumours could be true, but concretely there is nothing, only talks.”
