For the past couple of months, several Premier League sides have been linked to Boavista winger Alberth Elis.
The latest updates about this chase came from Portuguese newspaper A Bola at the weekend. They claimed that Southampton and West Ham United have both ‘targeted’ the 25-year-old for the summer window.
Now with Elis’ potential move to England being a hot topic, his father spoke to the Honduran press regarding his future.
Don Osman Elis was interviewed by local outlet La Prensa, and made it clear that they’d be happy in case the interest from those clubs are true.
“Only God knows the future and if they ask, it’s a joy for us, if they ask it’s because there’s some interest,” he told La Prensa.
La Prensa now adds a few names to that list. They claim that Brighton & Hove Albion, Southampton, Watford and West Ham are all following the player.
Regarding Elis’ chances of playing in England, Don Osman claimed that his son should be ready to show his talent in the Premier League.
“We could say, looking at his characteristics, yes. he can already make it to this league. Being there, if given the opportunity, do it in the best way. As is his dream, it’s also for me that he plays in the Premier. It may be that he’s close to fulfil his dream because there they have him in their sights.”
Reports from Portugal say Boavista should demand €10m for him this summer.
