Among the many players from Serie A who are constantly named in transfer stories, Franck Kessié is certainly one of them.

There was a long saga for AC Milan to sign the midfielder, first spending €7m for a two-year loan deal from Atalanta, then paying another €24m to get him permanently last summer.

The 23-year-old is now back to being linked with several clubs, and Newcastle United and West Ham United are both involved in a story today.

Website Pianeta Milan managed an interview with French journalist Patrick Juliard. The subject was mostly Kessie’s possible transfer to Ligue 1, where he could join Paris Saint Germain.

But instead of feeding these rumours, Juliard ended up suggesting other clubs who could sign the midfielder, both from the Premier League.

“I see him trying his luck in the Premier League. I don’t think Kessie is ‘high profile’ enough for PSG,” said Juliard.

“As Kessie is now a very experienced Serie A player, I see him starting a new adventure in England, where his physical qualities, his midfield activity and his box-to-box profile could attract medium level clubs like Newcastle or West Ham.”

Kessie started most of Milan’s games this season and has been a fairly regular player for the Rossoneri. He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €20m, although the Italian side would probably demand a little more.
