Ramon Sosa was tempted by offers to leave Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window and move outside of Europe but decided to stay with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side instead.
That’s according to journalist Christian Martin, via Versus, who has explained that the winger had offers to move to Brazil.
The 25-year-old joined Nottingham Forest in a €12m deal from CA Talleres in the summer, his first move outside of South America.
He’s yet to really establish himself at Nottingham Forest though, with the former of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga meaning playing time has been hard to come by.
That’s left Sosa on the outside looking in, featuring in just 11% of the available minutes in the Premier League so far and featuring more in the cup competitions.
A report last week indicated that Nottingham Forest had rejected a bid for him, with Sosa equally uninterested in the proposal or him.
Martin has now backed that up, explaining that the offers for Sosa came from Brazil but he was determined to remain at Nottingham Forest and fight for his place.
“We said last week that Ramon had been tempted by important non-European clubs,” he said in a video post on X.
“Well, I’m going to tell you about the country. The country is Brazil. But I understand that Ramon, in the face of the possibility wants to stay and succeed and make his name in Nottingham Forest.
“With that goal, with this opportunity, Nottingham Forest visits Fulham, here in London, in Croydon Cottage, one of the most beautiful stadiums, close to Thames, and Ramoncito’s opportunity to continue adding time to the game with this Nottingham Forest that makes his people excited with those moments of glory.”
