Hamza Igamane has been a regular at Rangers this season and has maintained his place in the starting lineup following Philippe Clement’s exit last month.
But! Football Club have a report on Marseille’s interest in the Rangers player and have also covered comments made by Moroccan journalist Hakim Zakos.
He claims the Ligue 1 club are still chasing the 22-year-old despite signing Amine Gouiri from Stade Rennais on a permanent transfer in the winter market.
“OM are still keen on Igamane… He’s been going through a less successful period since Paul Clement’s departure and his repositioning either at number 10 or on the wing,” he said.
But! Football Club then state Marseille’s Moroccan sporting director, Medhi Benatia, would be leading his side’s pursuit of the Rangers player.
The report’s title claims the French club’s official is ‘pushing’ for Igamane’s arrival in the summer window.
At the weekend, Africa Foot stated Marseille are in the picture to sign the player. They also reported Sevilla have sent a scout to keep an eye on the Moroccan while Everton have joined these two clubs in the transfer race.
Igamane’s contract at Ibrox lasts until 2029, and Rangers have a decision to make if they were to receive an offer after this season.
