Liverpool have another week to offload controversial striker Mario Balotelli, who is finding it very difficult to find himself a new club.
Several Serie A clubs are interested in Balotelli, but the financial terms of the deal are proving to be an issue.
Palermo fans pleaded their club to sign Balotelli by putting up a banner that read: “Balotelli in the squad.”
Yesterday, Balotelli was linked with a move to rivals Everton after several bookies made them favourites to sign him.
There is an even bigger surprise today, as Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim Balotelli is very much welcomed at Manchester United by Mourinho.
Gazzetta say Balotelli could also reunite with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United, and that ‘anything is possible’.
Gazzetta, however, believe Manchester United are not the only ones who have shown interest in Balotelli in the last few hours. Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, prefers a move to a Premier League club simply because they could afford his wages.
Mino Raiola has already helped Manchester United sign the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Paul Pogba this summer.
Could Mario Balotelli be the next one? Almost certainly not.
