If Mercato365 in France are to be believed, Manchester United will recruit at least one Frenchman in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The website published an article over the weekend claiming José Mourinho had three targets in mind to bolster his attack next season, and they were Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé and Alexandre Lacazette.

For Griezmann, Mercato365 state that, according to their information, Manchester United have already made contact with Griezmann’s entourage, with new talks expected to take place in the coming weeks.

Ed Woodward is said to be ready to get his chequebook out for the Atlético Madrid star, with a fee of €100m (the player’s release clause) expected to be needed to bring him to Old Trafford.

One forward, however, who probably won’t be switching clubs this summer is Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappé, even if José Mourinho is very interested in signing him.

The Ligue 1 club have told potential suitors they intend to keep him at the Stade Louis II for ‘as long as possible’, and with all the income expected from the sales of many other players, it’s something they are very capable of doing, at least until 2018.

As for Lacazette, Mercato365 simply explain Manchester United are keeping an eye on him, most likely as an alternative if they are unable to convince Antoine Griezmann to join them.

Not a bad alternative, is it?
