Super agent Jorge Mendes is ‘working to place’ his client Rafael Leao in the Premier League this summer and has ‘found interest’ from Everton and Wolves.
That’s according to Corriere Dello Sport, who cover the player’s future today and a potential move to England.
They explain that while selling the Portuguese striker is not a priority for AC Milan, there are ‘certain conditions’ that would tempt them into a deal.
They’ve made it clear to Mendes that they will only entertain offers of €25m and more, and so he has gone straight to the Premier League.
The feeling is that clubs there can offer Milan what they want and Mendes has been ‘sounding out’ his options, a strategy that’s worked as he’s ‘found interest’ from a couple of clubs.
They are namely Everton and Wolves, who both have squads full of Portuguese-speaking players, so they would be ideal destinations for the striker.
The key to any move is Leao, and at the moment, it seems he would prefer to stay in Italy, but he is aware he will have to significantly up his game to convince Milan after something of an average first season at the club.
That is why the Italian side can be tempted into a sale, and both Everton and Wolves have made it clear to Mendes they could be interested.
