Keita Baldé’s departure from Lazio only seems more and more likely to happen in the next summer window.
The rumours regarding a move have been speculated for a while now, as despite the player’s talent, several problems stop him from fulfilling his potential. The lack of game time has been a reason why he’s not happy at the club, and with his contract expiring in 2018, the summer will be decisive for Lazio to make some money in case he wants to leave.
West Brom tried to sign him last summer. According to the Italian press, the Baggies had a €18m bid rejected. Tony Pulis may well feel West Brom could now get themselves a bargain and sign Keita for less than the previous offer.
Especially because things have just got much worse for the player. Keita arrived late to a training session this week, and according to Calcio Mercato, the reason is because he was at a birthday party in a Barcelona nightclub last night.
Lazio would now be planning to sell him at the end of the season, and the competition is quite interesting. Inter Milan, Juventus and Milan are all said to be interested, but Keita himself may fancy a complete change.
Maybe it’s time for West Brom to try again, perhaps send him a dossier of the areas best nightclubs.
