Leonardo Jardim leaving his role at AS Monaco made it inevitable he’d be linked with Premier League clubs who could potentially be changing their manager soon.
That Le10 Sport then reported the manager has a ‘particular destination in mind’, which is English football, further underlined the rumours would arrive.
Jardim did an excellent job at Monaco under difficult circumstances and he’ll be linked to clubs towards the bottom, such as Southampton, mid table, such as Leicester City and the present incarnation of Manchester United, and higher should a position look like it may become available.
A day after their claim Jardim quite fancies England, Le10 Sport reported he’s on Leicester City’s list for potentially replacing Claude Puel. He’s one of multiple ‘priority options’.
There has been no claim of contact from Leicester, and it was made clear the Foxes haven’t even decided whether to change their manager at this stage.
A possible offer from China is also floated, and Le10 say two years ago Jardim rejected a €12m per year (after tax) proposal from a club in the country, and could wobble if it’s offered again.
