Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is adored by several coaches in the game and among them is Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The two managers have come face-to-face on four occasions so far, out of which two matches ended in a draw and the Citizens manager had the upper hand over the Argentine on the other two occasions.

That came when Guardiola was at Barcelona and Bielsa was managing Athletic Club Bilbao. The last meeting between the pair was at the start of this season when the Whites settled for a 1-1 draw at Elland Road in October 2020.

Bielsa will take his men to the Etihad this weekend as Leeds United take on City again.

Ahead of the clash between the two sides, DAZN in Spain interviewed the Leeds coach and the 65-year-old was in full praise of his City counterpart.

“Interpreting the innovative decisions that Guardiola incorporates into a game is already a way to fall in love with football. He is a magical man,” Bielsa said about Guardiola.

“What he knows how to do, it is enormously difficult for me to try and I’ve already given up.”

City have been in fine form in the league in 2021 and they have dropped points only on one occasion this year, in their home defeat to Manchester United.
