FC Inter News have what they’re presenting as an update on Arsenal’s attempts to sign Ivan Perisic before the window closes on Thursday.
Sunday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport explained the Premier League club have been in talks with Perisic’s agent, and have been told the terms of a deal by Inter Milan.
The Italian club would either demand a full transfer, at around €35m, or a loan agreement with clauses which made a summer redemption pretty certain.
FC Inter News say the Gunners have offered Perisic €3m for the rest of the season to cover the loan period. It’s stated he’d then earn €6.5 to €7m a season on a three year contract should Arsenal complete a permanent transfer in the summer.
Wages are usually quoted after tax by the Italian sport media.
The figures are said to be acceptable to Perisic.
Contacts between the clubs continue, and someone is going to have to compromise if a deal is to be found over the next few days.
