Nicolas Kühn has excelled for Celtic since they signed him from Rapid Wien in January. He’s scored 13 goals and registered 14 assists from 35 games for Brendan Rodgers’ side, of which 10 goals and 11 assists are from this season.
This includes a brace in Celtic’s 3-1 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League earlier this month. The winger was awarded man of the match for his performance against the Bundesliga side.
This week’s edition of SportBild has published an interview with the Celtic player.
He discussed his dream of representing Germany at the 2026 World Cup and his time with the Scottish champions so far. The 24-year-old has been thrilled with the support from Celtic fans, and was eager to share that.
Matt O’Riley left Brendan Rodgers’ side for Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer. He was awarded Celtic’s Best Player of the Season award, and it was handed to him by Celtic legend Henrik Larsson.
“We had an awards ceremony for the best player [O’Riley] of the previous season. Celtic legend Henrik Larsson came on stage, people went crazy and sang songs they had written about him. The fans are totally football crazy,” he said.
Celtic supporters have also come up with a chant for Kühn, who revealed how happy happy that’s made him.
“Yes, I actually have one, and I think it’s really cool. The title is: ‘Boy on the wing’. This can be found on the Internet, among other things. on Tiktok,” Kühn explained.
