Saturday November 30th saw West Ham battered 5-2 at home by Arsenal. Unusually all the goals were scored in the first half and that meant a tense Hammers dressing room at half time.
After the match there were reports Jean-Clair Todibo had lost his temper and had a clash with manager Julen Lopetegui. There were even insinuations things may have got physical, with Lopetegui himself later seeking to calm down the drama around whatever had happened.
Ahead of West Ham facing Liverpool this evening, French newspaper Le Figaro has taken a look at Todibo’s life with the Hammers so far.
It’s explained his adaptation to the London club has been severely hampered by fitness issues, with adductor problems being specifically mentioned.
Specifically on the clash with Lopetegui, Le Figaro explains the defender’s entourage have completely denied anything got physical with the manager.
Le Figaro then go on to quote a member of the player’s entourage as saying: “It’s in his character, he’s always been ambitious in all the clubs he’s been to.”
According to the French newspaper, Lyon have been monitoring Todibo this summer, but he wants to use today’s match against Liverpool to show he can cut it in the Premier League.
