One of the key players in Brendan Rodgers’ squad at Leicester City, all eyes on turned on Youri Tielemans and what the future holds for him.
The Belgian has been the subject of many transfer rumours, with important clubs all around Europe linked with him, and yet no bid has been made for him to date.
That could change very quickly, of course, and any transfer would have to be compensated by a very large transfer fee, such is his importance to Leicester and their plans going forward.
For now, however, the player is with the Belgium national team, who recently lost 4-1 to the Netherlands, and Tielemans is primarily focusing on the task at hand.
Speaking in a press conference, the Leicester star was also asked about his future, which he decided to dedicate a few words to.
He said, relayed by RTBF: “You need to stay calm. I’m good where I am. I still have a year left on my contract. I’m not in a rush. When you change clubs, you don’t change just to change. You change because there is a great project on the table.
“For a player, the most important thing is to play. It’ll be up to me to make the right decision regarding my future this summer, but now, I’m relaxed and focusing on the Red Devils.”
