With West Ham now allegedly joining the mix to sign Arsenal’s Lucas Perez, Frosinone appear to have even less of a chance of getting their dream man.

First came the stories claiming the Gunners had accepted a bid from Sporting CP for the Spaniard, but with nothing concrete emerging from that, renewed hope filled the corridors of the Rome based club.

Gazzetta dello Sport explain on Monday that even though they’re aware their offer of a loan with a view to buy might not be the most attractive, Frosinone aren’t ready to give up just yet.

The Italian newspaper report that new contacts between Arsenal and the newly promoted Serie A side are expected to take place today, where they’ll find out whether or not they still have a chance.

However, this all appears to be fruitless, as the latest news to come out of Italy is that Perez will, in fact, be signing for West Ham, with Nicolo Schira, a Gazzetta dello Sport journalist, claiming the whole thing was a ‘done deal’.

From previous reports, this is expected to be a full transfer, and it seems Frosinone are now going to have to look elsewhere to bolster their attack.
