FC Inter News have a big claim on Tuesday afternoon, with the club specific website reporting Tottenham have initiated contact over signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.
Perisic spent much of last summer as the subject of a transfer drama between his club and Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho had identified the player but efforts from Old Trafford to get a deal done ended up fruitless.
Despite at one stage seeming like he’d be disgruntled, Perisic got on with his life in Milan and had another good season in Serie A, helping Inter qualify for next season’s Champions League.
FC Inter News say Tottenham have contacted the player’s agent Fali Ramadani to let him know of their interest. However, Spurs have been informed that Inter Milan once again have no intention to sell the player, and therefore would only consider a transfer if a very high offer arrived.
Given Perisic is 29 years of age, Tottenham would likely think twice about spending a €40m+ fee on the player. But given what happened with Manchester United last year, they’d surely have known a move would be difficult anyway.
