If (and it’s a big one) TuttoMercatoWeb’s latest exclusive is to be believed, then Liverpool are very much interested in AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.

According to the Italian website on Wednesday afternoon, the Reds’ hunt for a new goalkeeper to help fill the gap left by the most likely departing Simon Mignolet has taken them to the young Italian, which means Mino Raiola is involved.

The Dutch super agent has been trying to get his client away from Milan for a while, and it appears Liverpool could be one of his solutions, as TMW report a ‘summit’ between Jürgen Klopp and Raiola took place a few days ago to discuss the matter.

Donnarumma wasn’t the only topic of conversation between the two, either, as the pair also discussed the future of Justin Kluivert, currently at Ajax and linked with a move away from Holland this summer.

As things stand, no offer has been made for the goalkeeper, but obviously that could change at any moment.

Considering the faith Klopp has put in Loris Karius this season, it seems unlikely that another first-team goalkeeper would come in despite all the January rumours, but perhaps he only saw the German as the lesser of two evils.

Unlikely, though.
