Juventus and new midfielders is a never-ending story for the Italian sport press, and Tuttosport are once again suggesting names the club will be looking at in coming months.

With the international break upon us, World Cup qualifiers are the perfect opportunity to have a look at players in a different environment, surrounded by teammates they only play with a few times a year.

One of these happens to be Southampton’s Jordy Clasie, who signed for the Premier League club during the summer of 2015 for just over £10m.

The Dutch midfielder, who has had to make do with some sporadic appearances under Claude Puel this season, has been a long term target for the Serie A champions, with reports dating back from 2012 of their interest.

Tuttosport reckon Juventus will deploy a scout to France-Netherlands on the 10th of October to keep an eye on Blaise Matuidi, Anthony Martial, Davy Klaasen (Ajax), and the Southampton midfielder.

It’s a long-term love affair, and at 25, the former Feyenoord star is probably keen on regular game time, which he isn’t getting just yet at the St Mary’s.
