Italian website Calcio Mercato today brings some updates on AC Milan’s chase for Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
According to the outlet, ‘indirect contacts’ have been recently made to know his availability to join the Rossoneri in the summer.
Calcio Mercato claims that Sarri would like to stay in England, especially because of the high salaries paid in the Premier League, however, he feels like his style suits Serie A better.
It’s said that the manager’s future should be decided in the next few weeks, although it’s not claimed how crucial a Champions League spot is for his Chelsea future.
Calcio Mercato writes that Chelsea fans want Frank Lampard to take charge of the club, and they further state the Blues legend is also the board’s number one target in case of Sarri’s departure.
Another factor which would contribute to Lampard’s arrival is that top managers are unlikely to take charge of a club banned from making signings in the next two transfer windows.
