Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Patrick Cutrone should have his spell at Fiorentina cut short, according to reports from Italy.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is the one saying Wolves are in the transfer market looking for attacking options after Raul Jimenez’s injury, and bringing back one of their own players would be the first move.
The report points out Cutrone’s ‘current conditions’ at Fiorentina, since he isn’t being used by the club, and wasn’t even taken to the past couple of games.
Di Marzio recalls that the agreement originally had an obligatory buying clause for the Italian side, but that was changed to an option, which will obviously not be used.
Cutrone’s chances of getting more minutes at Wolves would not only help his career on a club level, but at the national team as well, as the journalist points out his objective of featuring in the U21 Euros.
The striker made 13 appearances for Fiorentina this season, and didn’t score any goals. In his only season for Wolves in 2019/20, he had three goals and four assists in 24 games.
