Inter Milan are ready to make an attempt to sign Aleksandar Kolarov next summer, according to reports from Italy. Website Calcio Mercato Web claims to have some exclusive information saying the Manchester City left-back is a real target for the Nerazzurri.

They say the player isn’t convincing Pep Guardiola, which should mean he’s seeing the exit door soon. The Serbian’s contract expires in 2018 and Manchester City apparently aren’t rushing to renew.

Kolarov’s price would be around €7m, which should be no problem for Inter given their current financial situation. The player’s move to Inter would be a return to Italy, as he left Lazio to join Manchester City in 2010. The Premier League side paid €23m for him at the time.

Although Clacio Mercato Web make these comments on Guardiola’s contempt for the player, Kolarov already started 12 games for Manchester City this season. These numbers should make it pretty clear that, wanted or not, the 30-year-old is by far the manager’s number one choice for the position as it stands.

It all seems wishful thinking on behalf of Inter.
