It’s no secret Manchester City tried signing Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci during the summer transfer window, but the Serie A club were reluctant to sell him.

Reports in the Italian media now suggest the Premier League club could return for another Juventus player. According to Calciomercato, Manchester City are keen on Brazilian left back Alex Sandro, who they already tried to sign 18 months ago whilst he was still at Porto.

Calciomercato say Alex Sandro is a name that has ‘bewitched’ Pep Guardiola and others at Manchester City.

Manchester United are also reportedly keen on the Brazilian, but Juventus don’t want to sell him, as Massimiliano Allegri believes he is one of the best players in the world in his position.

City reportedly want a young replacement for Gael Clichy, and could try to sign Sandro in the near future, but the player is reportedly happy at Juventus.

The 25-year-old signed for Juventus in a €26m deal last summer, and Calciomercato believe the Serie A club value him at more than €50m now.
