A couple of days ago, Italian website Calciomercato reported Liverpool’s interest in Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne.

The 25-year-old is facing an uncertain future at Napoli after Aurelio De Laurentiis rejected his request of €4m per season wages.

According to a latest report on Calciomercato, an agreement between both the parties is still very far away.

Earlier, Calciomercato reported Insigne wants €4m/season, but now they claim it to be €5m/season, which is double what Napoli have offered the Italian winger.

There is also some issue with the image rights. Calciomercato say Insigne wants to stay at Napoli, and the Serie A club are keen on keeping him, but things just don’t add up at the moment.

If Liverpool are looking to sign a wide attacker in January, it could be an idea, but would Jurgen Klopp be interested in Insigne?

That certainly remains to be seen, but at the moment there is no reason for Napoli to panic with another three years left on Insigne’s current deal.
