On Wednesday, we covered the latest Tuttosport had to say over the Emre Can saga.

At no point did they mention the German international could extend his stay at Anfield, and they seemed pretty convinced Juventus would get their man in the end.

Well, in the space of 24 hours, they’ve changed their tune quite a bit, now claiming the possibility of Can being persuaded by Jürgen Klopp to spend a few more years on Merseyside.

The Italian newspaper explain that idea is ‘not impossible’, as the club’s run in the Champions League run could convince him ‘that the Reds’ future plans are ambitious’ enough for him.

On top of that, Tuttosport also claim that ‘sources within the club’ have made it known Can ‘could come back sooner, especially for a possible Champions League final’.

It’s said Klopp wants to make his midfielder ‘feel important’, especially now that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out injured for the foreseeable future.

Furthermore, ’sources close to the player’ have told Tuttosport there has been ‘no signature’ as of yet, and the Liverpool star is still ‘deciding what to do’.

A very different tune to the ‘it could be sorted in days’ we got from them yesterday, that’s for sure.
