Reports from Italy today claim that Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has held a Wednesday meeting with Inter Milan director Beppe Marotta.

It’s Sky Italia who brings the news, which is getting coverage from several outlets. And with the transfer market heating up in the final days of the window, any negotiations between the clubs would be the obvious subject here.

However, there could be another reason. As Inter-News brings the claims, they say the officials were actually speaking about the financial crisis brought by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The clubs are reportedly discussing the solutions that they may find to recover from the money issues which have been building for nearly a year now.

FC Inter News is another one with similar claims, also saying that transfer business was probably not included in the conversation.

They add it’s ‘hard’ to imagine an agreement for Christian Eriksen to move to Leeds United, especially because manager Antonio Conte has been making it look like the midfielder will stay with the Nerazurri until the end of the season.
