The Italian press is finally admitting that AC Milan will not be signing Gerard Deulofeu from Watford before the end of the month.
Earlier today, we’ve already covered claims which said the Rossoneri can’t afford the price demanded by the Hornets, and would even offer a swap so they could reduce the figure.
Perhaps mentioning Fabio Borini was the final straw.
Now Ita Sport Press comes up with similar claims, saying Krzysztof Piatek and Lucas Paquetá should be Milan’s only signings in the January transfer window.
They claim that Watford are not letting Deulofeu go in the way Milan want, which is a loan with an option to buy.
Ita Sport Press writes the Hornets would accept a €25m permanent deal, but manager Javi Gracia considers the player to be ‘unsellable’.
The report makes it sound like the end of the line for Milan, who should now go for other targets, as Watford don’t look willing to negotiate much.
