Maurizio Sarri’s good start at Chelsea is the subject of an interesting story from Italian newspaper Tuttosport this Thursday.

They start pointing out that if the Blues win Newcastle on Sunday, the boss is set to become the fifth manager to win the first three league fixtures in charge of the Stamford Bridge side.

But the article is actually based on the change of mood in the squad. Sarri’s arrival has made the atmosphere totally different to the one lived during Antonio Conte’s time at the club. That’s why the headline talks about the ‘Smiles in Sarriland’.

Tuttosport claims that one of the main changes was about the preparations for games. Conte demanded the players to sleep in a hotel the night before the home matches. With Sarri, the squad can sleep at home, and only meet their teammates hours before the game.

Another thing that made the squad happy is the diet change. Sarri allows some food that Conte didn’t, not only in the training centre, but also in hotels when the team is playing away.

Tuttosport finishes the story saying that ‘in short, the atmosphere is relaxed and the players seem to have received very well the arrival of the new manager’.
