Today we carried a report from the French newspaper L’Equipe who mentioned that Paris Saint-Germain ready to allow Goncalo Guedes leave the Ligue 1 winners in the summer transfer window. Valencia and Wolverhampton Wanderers are the two clubs linked with the forward.

L’Equipe suggested that PSG will be looking to offload a few of their players like Guedes, Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore and Grzegorz Krychowiak this summer. Pastore has seen his first team appearances limited at Parc des Princes.

Despite being part of the French club’s domestic treble-winning campaign, Pastore started in only 16 games in all competitions. The Argentine’s contract at PSG runs out in 2019.

Italian outlet CalcioNapoli24.it today cover Napoli and West Ham United’s interest in Pastore. The Premier League club’s interest in the midfielder was first reported by RMC Sport.

The French publication reported that Pastore’s agent Marcelo Simonian had travelled to London to negotiate with West Ham. The Hammers were believed to be in pole position for the player’s signature.

CalcioNapoli24.it now claims ‘there is a great distance’ between the two parties due the player’s wage demands. The South American midfielder’s representative demanded a net salary of €5m per year, which has been deemed ‘excessive’ by West Ham.

This has opened the door for Napoli to make an approach for Pastore. However, they will only consider signing him if Marek Hamsik leaves the club.

Should the PSG player decide on joining Carlo Ancelotti’s side, then Pastore has to make a ‘big economic sacrifice’. He is earning €8 million per year at PSG and will have to take a pay cut (€3m per year) to sign for Napoli.
