After both Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport were reporting on Monday that a meeting was to take place between Juventus and Chelsea for Cuadrado, Calciomercato on Monday said the answer from the London side was ‘no’.
Gazzetta are now reporting a meeting between the Premier League club and Cuadrado’s agent could take place on Tuesday, or at the latest on Wednesday.
The Italian newspaper say the Colombian’s representatives are ready to travel to ‘unblock’ the situation, meaning it could all accelerate very quickly.
Cuadrado is has already told Chelsea he wants the move back to Juventus, which was reported a few weeks ago, but the Premier League club are holding back for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, they don’t want a free loan like last time, and Gazzetta are now talking about a two-year loan with a buyout clause at the end.
Furthermore, the London side want Juventus to pay €4m for the loan.
This is apparently why it’s all moving slowly, but the agent is on standby to get it done soon.
He better hurry up then, there’s only a few days left in the transfer window…
