This morning, reports from England have suggested that Wayne Rooney could be on his way out of Manchester United soon in case he keeps failing to impress José Mourinho.

Somewhere in Europe (or maybe in China), the board of the Suning Comercial Group read these papers and said: “Well, we should try to sign him for Inter Milan”.

That is what, in essence, Calciomercato.it are trying to say, although using other words. They claim Wayne Rooney is a real target for the Italian side after they’ve found out that he could be leaving Manchester United.

It would already be a possibility in January, but there are a couple of factors that make it hard (you don’t say). First because Inter must solve their managerial problem.

Then, because besides finding an agreement with Rooney and United, the player would like to end the season at the English club so he could have another chance to win a title.

So the best time would be in June. According to them, Rooney is worth around €30m and the approach would be made after a few other squad changes.

They mention that there are offers from China and USA as well, but don’t claim why going to Italy would be a great idea for Rooney.

Currently in 14th place, Inter aren’t exactly an attractive side, and we doubt they could offer more money than the clubs from other continents. But the local press are pretty confident they can land big stars after Suning’s take over, so let’s let them believe that.
