Shining during this international break with Italy, Moise Kean has made headlines across his home country for the past week.
In turn, this has put into question his future at Juventus, since the youngster has barely been used by Max Allegri this season.
One person who would like to see the youngster used more is Giancarlo Giorgetti, Italy’s Undersecretary of State, whose ‘club of his heart’ happens to be Southampton.
Speaking to ANSA, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, the politician even claims he had a chat with the Saints about the young forward.
He said: “I’ve been following him for two years. I’ve recommended him to Southampton because I think he has the physique for the Premier League.”
If the Saints have actually listened to Giorgetti (that remains to be seen) and have any plans to try and bring in Kean, even if it is on loan, their first priority will be to remain in the Premier League.
Currently 16th in the Premier League, Southampton sit two points clear of the relegation zone with eight games to go.
As for Kean, the 19-year-old has made seven appearances in all competitions for Juventus this season, scoring three goals and assisting teammates once.
