Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata could be fully recovered from his injury next week, the Italian press says.
Website Calcio Mercato claims to have some exclusive information saying the player could be available for the Champions League clash against Roma on October 18th.
The Spaniard suffered a hamstring injury in the match against Manchester City on September 30th. The outlet reports that although the initial timescale was for Morata to be out for a month, the player has been working hard to be available for manager Antonio Conte once again.
They claim that even if there’s not enough time to recover for next week’s Champions League clash, then Morata should be definitely available for the game in Italy, which will be played on October 31st.
Reports from the English media have been disagreeing about his return, with some saying he should be back before initially expected, and other claiming that Chelsea are still not sure about it.
Signed from Real Madrid on a €62m deal this summer, Morata has played nine matches for Chelsea so far, scoring seven goals. One of them was in his only Champions League match for the Blues, when he scored an equaliser against Atletico Madrid.
