Former Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo is one of the names on Everton’s list of managers to replace Carlo Ancelotti.
That’s according to journalist Luca Momblano, cited by Calciomercato.it, who says he is among the ‘hypotheses’ being put forward.
Ancelotti departed Everton in shock fashion on Tuesday, cutting his contract at the club to make a sensation return to Real Madrid.
His departure has left Everton in the lurch, and the hunt for a new manager, which they were not expecting to be a part of, is well underway.
A long list of names have already been linked with the vacant position, and it has been claimed that the Toffees are willing to look at managers who have not worked in the Premier League previously.
That could leave them to Pirlo, with Momblano stating that he is ‘in talks’ with Everton about the job and in their ‘thoughts’ as they consider their next steps.
At the moment, he is a name that is only being ‘evaluated’ by those in charge at Goodison, but it’s made clear Pirlo is ready to jump into work straight away again despite his recent departure from Juventus.
