On Tuesday morning, the English press broke the news saying Everton had rejected an approach from Milan for Ademola Lookman.

The Mirror reported that the Rossoneri had made an ‘enquiry’ for the winger, but were told the 21-year-old is not for sale.

Now Italian website Calcio Mercato comes up with an update, claiming to have confirmed that Milan indeed made an attempt to get Lookman.

They say the Serie A side were looking to sign the player on a loan deal with an option to buy, but he’s considered to be ‘untransferable’ by the Toffees.

Calcio Mercato says that’s the same reason the Goodison Park side have rejected an offer from RB Leipzig.

Milan are trying hard to sign an attacking player before the end of the transfer window, but the idea to get players on loan with a buying option isn’t working out, as Watford seem to be rejecting these terms for Gerard Deulofeu as well.
