Fulham were linked with a move for Kasper Dolberg at the beginning of May, and then Leeds United were linked with the Anderlecht player around a week later.

At the time of the Leeds United claims it was stated that the Yorkshire club, or anyone else interested for that matter, would have to pay around €15m if they want to secure the 27-year-old.

Dolberg has somewhat rebuilt his career in Belgium, having struggled to live up to the hype built at the beginning of his career. Many now feel it’s only natural that he moves to a bigger league and tests himself again, and Leeds United and Fulham would obviously provide such an opportunity.

Not everyone wants the Dane to leave Belgium, and that includes his Anderlecht teammate Lucas Hey, although he will understand if the exit decision is made.

Tipsbladet quote Hey as saying: “We can agree that he can play at a higher level, so it’s clear that it would be a shame to lose someone like him if that’s what it ends up being. But if that’s what he wants, then he should follow his dream and do it.

“I can understand the level he has. If he wants to come back to a top five league, he should do it. He at least has the level to play in one of the top five leagues. What I see on a daily basis shows that he has a somewhat different level.

“I came in January, when he had a few injuries, but he came back strong. I especially remember his four goals against Gent. He is a skilled striker, and he is really good at finishing and link-up play. He is also a good person off the pitch.”

Burnley and Ajax have also been linked with moves for Kasper Dolberg, although the Fulham and Leeds United claims appeared stronger. There’s been no serious update on where he may end up.
