Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall has spoken to the Swedish media after the national team had to abandon training today.
Sweden are currently at their training camp in Marbella ahead of upcoming UEFA Nations League games against Slovakia and Azerbaijan.
Speaking to Fotbollskanalen about the weather situation in Spain, the Tottenham youngster said training turned into chaos due to torrential rain in the region. The 18-year-old went on to say due to the conditions the training session had to be cut short.
“It was chaos. Rain chaos. With thunder and all that. We had to stop early,” said the Tottenham youngster.
It’s been confirmed by other Swedish players that they all received a red weather warning to their mobile phones on Tuesday night.
Subsequently Sweden are now preparing to return Stockholm tomorrow so they can continue their preparations for Saturday’s clash with Slovakia.
The Tottenham man will be hoping to add to his three caps but isn’t expected to start in the forthcoming games. During the last international break the young midfielder didn’t get any playing time, but did get minutes in the opening games of the competition.
