In the past few weeks, Manchester United and Manchester City have been linked with a move for Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.
There have been suggestions the Serbian has a release clause of €20m and it will be applicable till the end of July.
Tuttomercatoweb have backed up interest from both Manchester United and Manchester City and have relayed quotes from Torino president Urbano Cairo, who has now been asked about the player.
He said that while Milinkovic-Savic has attracted multiple suitors, no one has concretely come forward for him.
He told La Stampa, as relayed by TMW: “He had a great championship and it is normal that he receives a lot of attention, but no offer has arrived yet.”
The Serbia international has arguably been the best goalkeeper in Serie A this season and considering that, it is easy to see why clubs like the idea of signing him.
Manchester United and Manchester City could both need a new stopper between the sticks in the summer. They should gain confidence from Torino’s identity of being a selling club.
The Granata sold key players like Alessandro Buongiorno and Raoul Bellanova last summer and are no strangers to selling important stars for the right prices.
As a result, the Red Devils and the Citizens should know that they have a chance.
