Christian Eriksen has failed to convince Antonio Conte at Inter Milan and repeated claims over the last month have stated the player will be allowed to leave the Nerazzurri in January.
For the past week or so, multiple reports in Italy have stated Arsenal could be the next possible destination for the 28-year-old.
On December 18th, Calaciomercato.it explained Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta ‘could reconnect with Arsenal’ to discuss an exchange operation involving the playmaker and Lucas Torreira.
The Uruguayan is now on loan at Atlético Madrid from Arsenal, and it could be difficult for Inter to take him away from the La Liga side because Torreira’s agent admitted his client is happy with Diego Simeone’s side.
Mario Cenolli is an Italian agent and intermediary, and he appeared as a guest on Calciomercato.it’s show to discuss Arsenal’s ‘Italian issues’.
Regarding Eriksen, he said: “I think there are two options for Eriksen: Arsenal or Paris Saint Germain. The Gunners really need someone like him as [Mesut] Özil will no longer play.
“The English [club] only have physical players and not creative players, which is why I think it is also feasible from an economic point of view with an option at the end of the season. Arteta is one who likes footballers like him [Eriksen].”
It’s to be noted that Cenolli doesn’t manage Eriksen and there isn’t anything from Calciomercato.it to suggest he is working as an intermediary to take the Dane away from Inter.
