In recent days, reports coming out of the English press have talked about West Ham United’s interest in Leeds United’s Raphinha.

Barcelona are said to be keen on acquiring the winger’s services in the summer. Earlier this week, The Telegraph reported the La Liga side are set to have imminent talks with the Whites.

Claims made by The Telegraph are relayed by Sport and the latter mention West Ham United in today’s edition of the newspaper.

It’s claimed Xavi Hernández’s side have reported their interest in the 25-year-old to Leeds and have already reached an agreement with the Brazil international. His ‘total priority’ is to make a switch to the Camp Nou.

Barcelona are not the only club looking at the ex-Rennes man. ‘There is interest’ from other clubs, and this is when David Moyes’ side are tagged.

Although West Ham are in the picture, Sport state the player ‘will not listen to proposals for now from any club other than Barca’.

Online, Sport further add Leeds are asking €60m for the South American. The price will drop if Jesse Marsch’s side are relegated. They are currently 17th in the table, two points ahead of 18th placed Everton, who have a game in hand.

If Leeds continue in the Premier League, then Barca will try to negotiate with the English club to lower the price tag. There’s no mention as to what West Ham United plan to do if the Whites avoid being relegated.

Moyes’ side will have to first convince Raphinha to have any remote hope of carrying out his signing in the summer.
