Liverpool and Manchester City have joined Leeds United in the chase for Red Bull Salzburg star Noah Okafor.

Last month, Calciomercato stated the Whites are providing competition to AC Milan to sign the forward, who has scored 10 goals and registered two assists from 22 games in all competitions this season.

The 22-year-old’s fine form has reportedly drawn attention from Liverpool, Manchester City and Milan.

Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to Twitter to claim ‘there is interest’ from the Reds, Pep Guardiola’s side and the Rossoneri in the Switzerland international. His price tag would be around €35-40m.

With Liverpool and Manchester City among the clubs showing interest in the attacker, the journalist adds that a ‘transfer is possible’ in the winter market.

Plettenberg makes it clear there’s been no negotiations, likely between the player’s suitors and the Austrian champions. His immediate focus will be on the 2022 World Cup with Switzerland.

Okafor has operated as a centre forward this season. This is the same position Liverpool and the Premier League winners strengthened in the summer, by adding Darwin Núñez and Erling Haaland respectively to their squads.
