Ever since Erik Lamela signed from AS Roma, it seems that Inter Milan have maintained some kind of interest in the Argentinean winger.
Reemerging this season now that the Serie A side have some money thanks to new Chinese investors, the deal still remains a very difficult one to accomplish.
Inter Milan have taken all the necessary steps to get a deal going, including sending Javier Zanetti to meet with Lamela during the Copa America, but Tottenham’s asking price is a wall difficult to overcome.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham could ask for somewhere in between €35-40m for their right winger; a fee Inter Milan aren’t quite ready to pay when they could focus on someone like Juan Cuadrado for €30m.
However, the Italian side are very aware of the London club’s interest in their midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, and Corriere ask the question: will he be included in any offer for Lamela?
It’s still very early in the transfer window, so this one could go on a while.
