The claims continue in Spain about Jonny Otto being on the verge of a permanent transfer to Wolves.
Spending the season on loan at the Premier League club, the fullback made it clear he expected to return to Atletico, but it’s now thought to be likelier he’ll stay.
AS have an article on Monday going over a list of players who have signed for Atletico Madrid, not played official matches for the club, and then left a profit behind.
The Spanish newspaper says the intention is that Jonny will join that list ‘in the coming hours’. Once again it’s explained the transfer would be a way to square the finances after the signing of Alvaro Morata from Chelsea on loan.
Another man on the list is Diogo Jota, who signed for Atletico Madrid in 2016 from Paços de Ferreira and then went on loans to FC Porto and Wolves, before making his move to the latter permanent.
This one is now dragging on in Spain, and they’re running out of things to say.
