It appears that Fabio Paratici, formerly of Juventus, will be taking charge of transfers and such at Tottenham going forward.
That is what Corriere dello Sport are reporting, claiming that ‘from next week, he will be in charge of the technical area of Spurs’.
Saying goodbye to Juventus today in a press conference, the director of football will then focus on the task at hand for Tottenham, and that is convincing Antonio Conte to become the club’s next manager.
‘His intention is clear’ in that regard, whom he sees as an ‘absolute winner to whom he can entrust a long project’, lasting four to five years with an ‘onerous and super armoured contract’.
The aim is to first bring Tottenham back to the Champions League spots and then for him ‘to win titles’.
He has a tough task at hand, though, because Conte, as reported elsewhere, is a bit skeptical about the difficult of turning things around in London, especially if Harry Kane leaves.
That’s something we’ll have to keep an eye on, but with the pair having worked together previously at Juventus, teaming up with Fabio Paratici could be an extra incentive for the former Inter manager.
