Nottingham Forest are indeed planning an ambitious move for Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez but are yet to make a formal proposal.
That’s according to Unanimo Deportes, who have confirmed that Nottingham Forest are showing an interest in the Mexican.
Reports in the Netherlands and England have indicated that Forest may be making an ambitious bid to get the striker this summer as he continues to be linked with a move away from Feyenoord.
Giménez has long been linked with a move away from the Dutch side, who he joined in July 2022 and has shone for ever since, managing 51 goals and 12 assists in 87 games to date.
He’s been credited with suitors all over Europe but none of the big sides have moved forward for him seriously despite those links, leading to the suggestion Nottingham Forest could swoop in instead.
Unanimo Sports confirm Forest being keen on the striker, reporting that Nottingham Forest have expressed their interest in the player but so far not made a formal proposal to Feyenoord.
They add that Giménez has expressed a desire to leave the Dutch side although that is yet to develop as there is ‘absolutely nothing concrete’ on the table at present.
Nottingham Forest could be about to change that, though, with their liking for the player now expressed and out in the open.
