Beijing Guoan really want Mousa Dembele, according to claims from Belgium.
The Tottenham midfielder, like some of his international teammates, has been repeatedly linked with a move to China and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of going.
Het Nieuwsblad say there’s insistence from the Chinese club, who are really keen on the player. A demonstration of that is an offer to Dembele to double his Tottenham wages, with the Belgian newspaper coming up with the €180k a week figure.
Now, whilst we’re sure that’s enough for a family to live on in China or anywhere else, it doesn’t sound *that* much in relation to the huge salaries handed out to some players who have made the move.
As for Tottenham, it’s said the club have been opposed to selling Dembele, but may be tempted to cash in this summer.
It’s been reported more than once that Dembele is waiting to see how he physically feels in the summer before deciding his next step.
He turns 31 years of age in July so he’s not exactly on borrowed time, unless he and Tottenham know something Beijing Guoan don’t.
