The Netherlands welcomed Belgium for a friendly on Wednesday night, one which left manager Danny Blind with several injury worries.

Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen was involved in a collision with Simon Mignolet, with the goalkeeper’s arm, and perhaps elbow, catching Janssen on the head as Mignolet went for the ball.

Whilst it was totally accidental, it didn’t hurt any less, and Janssen went to the floor where he looked dazed. The Tottenham player continued on the pitch, but still looked dazed, and pointed at his head to signify he was still in pain.

After sitting down on the pitch, and again pointing at his head, the Tottenham player was eventually replaced by Bas Dost.

Following the match, which ended 1-1, manager Danny Blind was of course asked about the Tottenham striker. Quoted by De Telegraaf, Blind explained: “He misses a period of twenty minutes. That’s not good, of course.”

Janssen’s foggy 20 minutes are due to concussion, report Dutch newspaper AD, and he’s set to miss the country’s next match, which would suggest he’ll be back at Tottenham early.
